Background:
Cantrell is a happy and hardworking environment school for children aged three to 11. It is a large community school in the heart of Bulwell. The school has three playgrounds for their children and a large field, which are regularly used for playtimes, recreation and sports. On field, the school has football pitches, cricket pitches and an environmental area. All surrounded by a variety of trees planted by children in their millennium project. The school has 16 classrooms, some of which have interactive whiteboards and projectors installed in addition to a well equipped up to date, fully networked ICT suite. Various voluntary activities are run according to availability, weather conditions and commitment during the year: art club, bookmaking, climbing, choir and orchestra, computers, environmental, football, cricket plus more clubs run by most teachers in school. The school has also achieved a Beacon Status in 2001. The school aims to provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment where children can achieve their full potential.
