Background:

Leen Mills Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. The school is situated in the centre of a private housing estate on the Hucknall/Linby boundary. It is surrounded by extensive playing fields and the abundance of trees creates a pleasant environment for the school community. The school building is of modern design comprising 11 teaching areas, which have recently been refurbished, as well as being made stimulating and attractive by the sensitive displaying of children's work. It provides a broad range of extra-curricular activities for pupils including: educational visits, residential visits, music groups, french lessons and sports clubs. The school also provides a wide range of opportunities including: gymnastics, dance, swimming, football, netball, basketball, kwick-cricket and mini-rugby. It facilitates football club and the sports council to enhance the learning. The school aims to enable pupils to use English and mathematics effectively.
