Background:

Elliott Durham is an 11 to 16 co-educational school, which is housed in excellent purpose-built accommodation on a very attractive site. The school aims to offer a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which enable pupils to develop into independent and responsible young adults. The school'sports department aims to provide a wide range of enjoyable sporting opportunities for all students. Inside there is a sports hall with a full size of basketball court, four badminton courts and areas for gymnastics, indoor football, netball and hockey. There is also a small carpeted hall for dance and aerobics. Outside there are four tennis courts, two floodlit astro-turf and extensive playing fields and pool. There is also a well-stocked library or resource area in school. It is supervised by a qualified librarian and provides a wide range of books, materials and information to support pupils study or recreational reading. The school aims to provide the best possible education in a supportive and disciplined environment so that every student may prepare confidently for adult and working life.
