Background:
Caunton has had a village school for over 150 years. The building is set in extensive playing fields, bordered by lovely farmland and a small stream. It is a welcoming, friendly school at the heart of its village community. The school is extremely well resourced with modern furniture and comfortable, carpeted classrooms. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, drama, art, musical activities and French and ICT for Year 6 pupils. Educational visits are also arranged to enhance the curriculum. The school aims to provide a safe and secure environment.
