Background:
The school was built in 1957 and comprises of 8 classrooms and an ICT suite which was a recent addition in 2006. The school meets requirements of National Curriculum. All children learn to play recorder at the beginning of KS2 and then have the opportunity to learn violin, flute and clarinet. The school has strong teams in football and basketball. The school has won the local football league and the local swimming gala in 2006. The school has strong community links with Parish of Corpus Christi and pupils are very successful in raising money for a variety of charities. This is a Catholic School serving the Parish of Corpus Christi. Children are encouraged to respect themselves and each other through children's mission statement:-'We promise to walk kindly with each other in the footsteps of Jesus Christ as we live and learn'.
