Wilsthorpe Community School is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11'18. The school is set on a large campus, shared with Harrington Junior School, Parklands Infant School, Brackenfield Special School and English Martyrs Roman Catholic School. The school has two new air-conditioned computer rooms equipped with networked personal computers (PC's). Students follow the full range of national curriculum subjects providing a broad and balanced learning experience. The school has a wide range of clubs/activities for students: art club, computer club, design and technology club, young engineers, science club, special educational needs lunchtime club, athletics club, football club, basketball club, tennis club, rounders club, hockey club and netball club. The school has links with athletics clubs, West Park leisure centre and Friesland leisure centre The school aims to have a school environment that promotes and encourages and supports effective learning.
