Background:
Linby-cum-Papplewick Church of England Primary School founded in 1872 and moved into its current buildings in 1968. It is situated in a delightful rural location, at the edge of the village and is surrounded by fields and woodland. There is a hard playground and a grassed area and, in addition to the school's own wood and pond. The four classes contain two year groups within them. High priority is given to the fostering of good relationships between staff, pupils, parents, governors and the community. The recognition and celebration of success both inside and outside of school is also important. Classroom assistants provide one to one support for children at stage three or above of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) code of practice. A part-time teacher is employed to work with small target groups in mathematics and literacy.
